day 5 - please go out and adopt an animal.

today, i'm going to start on a somber note. a note more important than my day. so it's out of order.

go adopt an animal.
no, don't go buy some newly born dog from a breeder. those dogs will get picked up faster than you can get to the breeders house. go out to a shelter. go to a petsmart. damn near every single pet supply store has a few cats and sometimes dogs that need a good home. going to the shelter breaks my heart to see these animals crying out for some bit of attention.
how would YOU feel locked in a cage all day?


this is Boston, she is whining nearly 24/7 to get out. and when she is all she is is cuddly. she just wants someone to love her.

Burny, a house trained dog that honestly lets you sit on him like a soda.

idk this ones name, but it's sweet as can be and just came in today as a stray. who could let the face out of their sight?

Rambo was skinny as shit, and is just getting back on track. but he's got sores evey where.

Koda is the most loyal dog i know. he was out with a few others and just wanted to sit with me. didn't want to go play with the other dogs. he's soft and gentle and so adorable.

Jazzy is a mother, so she looks very thin. but isn't sick. don't worry. she just had a litter and all of the puppies are up for adoption, too. but it's unlikely anyone will take her, because she is a pitbull.

this is one of her pups, six weeks.

same dog, more it than me. LOL

this is Becca, all her hair was shaved off leaving her with many razor cuts and her pink skin shining though. she is a bichon and looks absolutely AWFUL. her owners kept her outside, you do NOT keep little dogs like her outside. they belong indoors being pampered.

they literally stack these dogs on top of each other.

and outside they have to share cages.

a lot of these dogs are playful, and do well with others.

and some of them are terrified of people.


the indoor kennels are shit,

and the outdoor aren't much better.

i'm getting angry just typing this.

on to the cats.

they have a lot of cats,

too many cats. that's only one of the THREE walls they have of cats.
there are many types of cats.

white cats,

black cats,

old cats,

new cats,

and really-really playful cats.
there are so many cats that some are kept in the back with the dogs.

so please, go out and adopt. tell your friends to adopt. and if you can't, just go volunteer. if there is no work to do, walking the animals and playing with them is so-so good. there is nothing like it, there really isn't.
how anyone could treat animals like this is beyond me. and i can promise you my house will be a zoo.

okay, onto the rest of my day~
i made 7$ and some odd cents in tips today. and i might have talked my boss into adopting the pug i posted above. she is willing to work with it and everything. yay <333
and i'm kind of getting the hang of it. she hired me an extra day. i now work monday-thursday~

this is the main room of my work place, there is a side room that is rarely used called the branch.

we have a lot of coffees, i have ground them both days. i am damn good at it.

i am not good at finding the flavor sauces though, there are so many of them.

why doesn't anyone just ever ask for these? they're already brewed. really, make my job easier please.

and this is the bar, the register is > that way and i am not very good at it. it always beeps at me a lot. stupid thing.
i get free lunch and free drinks, whatever i want. too bad i don't like coffees of smoothies. hahahaha

the Fair starts tomorrow so maybe i will meet new friends. LOL yeah right. w/e
i did well studying tonight, i only got like 3 q's wrong and only because of stupid mistakes so i am proud.
i also talked to my grandpa a lot, he wants to be in the Olympics and TBH, he could be. he also wants to be the first human to go 300mph in a corvette, which he could do too. ahahaha
he's such a neat old man, no grandpa beats my Grandpa John.
